I can go with music everywhere. No matter how lazy you are to wear sneakers, it is always easier to lace them up with lively tunes playing in your ears. I have already written how rightly chosen song does magic, so, for me a good music is also a great motivation to do sports. Jogging, dancing, streching are my favourite sport activities to stay in shape after drinking all Turkish coffees and teas.

There are plenty of spots in Istanbul to take a walk or ride a bike, but unfortunately, most of them are overvrowded, that discourages from going outside. However places with few tourists and fresh air exist!

Number 1 on my list is Belgrade forest (according to the legend, this forest is named after the village, founded by Serbian captives, who came to the Ottoman Empire during the reign of Sultan Suleyman "the Magnificent"). For lovers of active rest, there is a 6 km footpath that surrounds a central lake.

Number 2 is Polonezköy (Polish village in Istanbul, founded in 1842 by Prince Adam Chartoryzsky, who bought this area for Polish immigrants). It's a break from the hustle and bustle of the big city and a perfect spot to do a 5 km run.

Number 3 - is Heybeli island. In comparison with Büyükada (the Big Island) Heybeliada is less crowded, it is considered the greenest one among all Princess Islands of Istanbul. It gets its name due to the fact that its shape at bird's eye view looks like a saddlebag (heybe in Turkish). There you can rent a bicycle to explore the whole island.

However, you can do a good workout even at home, you just need a desire. Don't forget that life is music, play it loud. 👊🏻
