It is showtime 🎭

For me to go to the theater in Istanbul is a big event. I feel like a child going with his/her mother to see a Christmas tree. Everything inside me comes alive and looks forward to the upcoming holiday.

In order to get a double pleasure from the performance, it is necessary not only to understand the theme of the presentation and like the performance of the actors, but also to feel the atmosphere of the hall.

The most striking place for me is "Süreyya" Opera house in Kadikoy. It hosts all performances of the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet company, as well as exhibitions and festivals.

The interior design of the hall looks like I used to see it in St Petersburg: a richly ornamented ceiling, big beautiful chandelier and mythological paintings. There is something magical in the air, mingling with the light scent of perfume, soft lighting and a sense of wonder. The combination of music, decorations and costumes creates an amazing effect, and you dive into the performance.

Soon, very soon there will be the opening of the new season... I'm so waiting for it...
